The Durham Free-Net, serving the residents of Durham Region, just east of Toronto, Ontario, officially opened in the summer of 1995. As of May 31, 1997, a shut-down became necessary as funding came to an end. I've established this page so that people who have internet access can be kept informed of news on the possible restarting of the Free-Net.

I am also providing a Durham Free-Net Message Board for anyone who wants to continue ongoing discussions, check on news, or leave any official information.
